Mickey Mouse “lahir” tahun 1928.

 awalnya film ini muncul sebagai film animasi bisu (tak bersuara) karena pada saat itu gambar belum tersinkronisasikan dengan suara. 

Debut Mickey Mouse ini berjudul “Plane Crazy”. 

Di tahun yang sama, pada 21 Desember,

 film animasi musikal pertama Walt,

 “Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs”, 

diluncurkan di Carthay Circle Theatre, Los Angeles. Biaya produksinya mencapai 1,5 juta dolar.

        

Dalam lima tahun setelah itu, Walt Disney mengeluarkan film klasik terkenal yaitu “Pinocchio”, “Fantasia”, “Dumbo”, dan “Bambi”.
